Lockheed backtracks on UK Warrior turret
Changes to the demonstration phase of the UK Warrior Capability Sustainment Programme (WCSP) mean that Lockheed Martin UK will now offer a new turret in place of the planned modified one.
A new turret for the IFV is what rival company BAE Systems had originally offered in its 2009 bid for WCSP but this was turned down by the UK MoD – so they might feel somewhat hard done by with this latest development.
