Iveco delivers 62 more LAVs to Norway
Iveco Defence Vehicles has delivered the last batch of 62 Light Armoured Vehicles (LAV) to the Norwegian Defence Material Agency, the company announced on 6 February.
The handover ceremony was held at the company headquarters in Bolzano, Italy.
Developed from the Light Multirole Vehicle, the fourth generation LAV integrates a number of upgrades, including the new driveline that offers higher performance and an improved air filtration system. The vehicle also has increased payload.
The crew cell has been redesigned to improve crew ergonomics and to add new seats, along with a next-generation dashboard and an upgraded hardtop.
This was the fourth LAV order placed by Norwegian armed forces.
