Rheinmetall is set to exhibit its new Hybrid Protection Module at IDEX 2019. The Module can either be deployed in standalone mode or retrofitted into vehicles, and features a combination of active and passive protection technology.

Two variants of Rheinmetall’s Multi Ammunition Softkill System (MASS) decoy launcher system will also be on display – the MASS_OCR, which includes an Offboard Corner Reflector, and the MASS_ISS, which has an Interated Sensor Suite, intended for units without an organic reconnaissance system for countering threats based on laser and radar technology.

In addition to this, Rheinmetall will be showing its latest in-air defence, the Skynex system. Featuring a remotely operated, network-capable Oerlikon Revolver Gun Mk3 mounted on a HX77 truck, this system will be on display with an X-TARD3D search radar, a Cheetah guided missile and a high-energy laser effector.

Another showcase at IDEX 2019 will be the ‘Total Ship Training’ system, an integrated simulation-based approach for training entire ships’ crews ashore – with the aim of increasing operational readiness and reducing training costs whilst keeping in mind the current demands for greater sea endurance in concept designs.

Also, in the digital product line-up will be the Argus New Generation and Gladius 2.0 soldier systems, as well as the TacNet tactical management system and the Rheinmetall Command and Control Software.
