IDEX 2017: Rapid vehicle development on offer

Irish drive train experts, Timoney, are proposing a new concept of rapid military vehicle development to existing vehicle producers and aspiring vehicle manufacturers.

The offer, being launched at IDEX 2017, intends to reduce the initial cost and time to development of 4x4, 6x6 and 8x8 vehicles up to 75%.

Simon Wilkins, business development director at Timoney told Shephard that developing a new vehicle from scratch can be a 4-5 year programme with all the design, methodology and processes required to get a prototype vehicle to the point where it can be qualified.
