IDEX 2017: Getting FATS in the Middle East

The Middle East is a 'key market' for Meggitt Training Systems, which is introducing its FATS 100e virtual training system to IDEX for the first time.

As military forces in the region want to improve their training capability and reduce costs, the company is seeking to tap into that market and introduce virtual reality (VR) technology improvements.

FATS 100e was launched in 2015 and has secured export orders with the UK, US, Canada, Australia and Singapore. Deliveries started late last year, but these countries have top tier modern armies with budgets to match, so it remains to be seen
