IDEF 2015: BMC unveils Vuran 4x4
Turkish vehicle manufacturer BMC has unveiled its new 4x4 Vuran multipurpose armoured vehicle (MPAV) at the IDEF exhibition in Istanbul.
A spokesperson from BMC told Shephard that 60 vehicles have been contracted for delivery by the Turkish internal security directorate’s Special Forces and that production had started. Deliveries will begin in three months.
BMC won a public tender for the vehicles and a contract was awarded in October 2014. The Vuran on display is fitted with a remote control weapon station.
Vuran has a Cummins 6-litre cooled turbo diesel engine that can operate with F34 fuel. It has a V-shaped
