Further MMP validations planned for 2014-15
The Missile Moyenne Portee (MMP) system from MBDA is expected to complete long range testing and missile firings over the next 18 months.
A spokesperson from MBDA told Shephard on 6 May that during the second half of 2014 the MMP will be validated at long range and will be followed in 2015 with missile firing tests in all conditions at range, on different targets and using TV and IR bands.
Complete system qualification is expected in 2016. The DGA announced in December 2013 that it would equip the French Army with the MMP from 2017 to replace
