Eurosatory: UK edges forward

With the Ajax reconnaissance vehicle family programme underway the British Army is looking ahead to its next set of armoured vehicles.

However, a decision on the next big project, the Multi-Role Vehicle – Protected (MRV-P) programme being procured under the Protected Mobility Vehicle Programme (PMVP) seems to have stalled. 

This could be because the UK government is paralysed over a nationwide referendum on the EU when normal management of the country seems to have taken a back seat, or because finding an off-the-shelf industry solution to the complex MRV-P requirements is not as easy as it appears.
