Eurosatory: MMP series production begins

The Missile Moyenne Portée (MMP) medium-range modular land combat missile system from MBDA has started series production.

The multi-mission missile provides engagement and destruction of hot and cold targets and can be fired from enclosed spaces. Its light weight and extended range capability are highlighted as advantages of the MMP.

Speaking at the exhibition, Jean-Paul Faye, head of MBDA Land Systems said: ‘At the end of the qualification, we will be able to claim a range of more than 4km’.

The MMP provides detection, recognition and identification of targets through an FOV which is ‘bigger than the competition’,
