EDA places order for Carl-Gustaf ammo
Saab has received an order for Carl-Gustaf ammunition from the European Defence Agency (EDA), announced on 25 January.
The order falls under an existing five year framework contract signed in 2014. The contract allows member states Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, the Czech Republic and Poland to co-ordinate their ammunition purchases via the EDA.
Deliveries under the order will take place in 2017.
Torbjörn Saxmo, head of ground combat, Saab, said: ‘This order is further proof of our ability to deliver Carl-Gustaf ammunition in a flexible and efficient way. In order to maintain capable and deployment-ready forces, the customers have high demands on the weapon deliveries and I am proud that we can offer these solutions when ever needed.’
