DSA12: AM General continues push for right-hand drive HMMWV
Following the introduction of the right-hand drive variant of the High Mobility Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) in February, AM General is preparing to conduct demonstrations for target nations starting at the end of May.
Some 73 countries worldwide drive on the left, and although some of these nations have used the HMMWV before in coalition operations, never before has AM General created a specific vehicle for these countries.
'The Brits have been using it in Afghanistan and Iraq, but Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, these are a new market for us,' Gerritt Peck, regional director of international sales in the Far East
