Discussions continue on Warrior CSP full rate production
As trials of the Warrior IFV with its new turret configuration continue at Bovington, the Lockheed Martin manufacturing site in Ampthill patiently awaits a full rate production decision on the Capability Sustainment Programme (CSP) from the UK MoD.
There are currently ‘ongoing discussions’ regarding the production contract however, the MoD was unwilling to comment further on the commercial activity. It is understood a FRP decision could be awarded in 2019.
There are currently 380 Warrior vehicles in the British Army inventory, 289 of which carry turrets that could be replaced. The new turrets will enable the Warrior IFV to support
