DefExpo 2020: Kalyani veers towards vehicle success
The Kalyani Group exhibited two families of vehicles at DefExpo 2020 in Lucknow and the Indian private-sector company is enjoying significant sales successes for its 4x4 protected vehicles, development of which only commenced in 2014.
On display was an example of the M4 multirole MRAP that has a kerb weight of 13.3t. The vehicle featuring a monocoque hull can carry seven passengers and a 2,700kg payload. It offers occupants STANAG 4569 Level 3 ballistic protection and Level 4a and Level 4b blast protection.
The M4, also known as the TC-20, has independent suspension and is powered by a 420hp engine. The
