Danish armour modernisation accelerates
A contract for the 8x8 Piranha 5 vehicle selected by the Danish Army for its APC requirement is due to be signed by the end of the year.
It is the lead programme in a modernisation effort that will also see a programme for the acquisition of a new 4x4 patrol vehicle and new logistics trucks in 2016. In addition, Denmark is receiving upgraded M113 APCs.
