LAAD 2019: Brazil's indigenous rocket launcher nears testing phase
Brazilian company Mac Jee showcased its Armadillo TA-2 rocket launch system atop the 4x4 AM General HMMWV at LAAD 2019 ahead of further tests with the Brazilian military.
The configuration on display will enter qualification in June 2019 with the Brazilian Army, during this time the system will be put through its paces at the Brazilian Army's Army Assessment Center, Rio de Janeiro.
Following the qualification stage it is expected that the system will be ready for serial production in 2020 at Mac Jee's plant in Capivari, Brazil. This is providing that the Brazilian government goes forward with acquisition.
