BAE offers India M777 build
BAE Systems is offering to relocate its M777 lightweight howitzer production line to India to meet Indian Army artillery requirements.
A statement from BAE Systems on 15 January said: ‘We have included in our offer the transfer of the assembly integration and test (AIT) capabilities into India.’
BAE Systems is very keen to seal a contract for 145 weapons, since it is prepared to kick start indigenous production.
