Australia’s first Boxer enters the ring
Rheinmetall Defence Australia handed over the first Boxer 8x8 armoured vehicle acquired under Project Land 400 Phase 2 to the Australian Army at Enoggera Barracks, Brisbane on 24 September.
The vehicle delivered was a multipurpose variant. Images from the handover ceremony showed the vehicle painted in a typical Australian camouflage scheme and fitted with a 12.7mm machine gun mounted in an remote weapon station (RWS). The rear of the 8x8 vehicle includes additional stowage racks that significantly increase its length.
