AUSA 2015: Textron lines up HMMWV upgrades
With more than 200,000 HMMWV vehicles in-use by militaries across the world, there is a significant market for upgrade packages.
Textron Marine and Land Systems (TMLS) has identified 25 countries that would be a priority for their HMMWV solution known as the Survivable Combat Tactical Vehicle (SCTV) and the company expects to have three launch customers within a year.
Speaking at the AUSA exhibition in Washington DC, Jonathan Dalrymple, VP of business development at TMLS, said three sample SCTVs have been delivered to Colombia for a test phase that will be completed by the end of the year.
