Armenian parade shows new weapons
A recent military parade in Armenian capital Yerevan, has revealed the true scale of new heavy weapon system procurement undertaken by the country this year.
The parade showcased the 9K720 Iskander (SS-25 Stone), a new-generation tactical ballistic missile (TBM) system.
Two 9P78 dual-missile transporter-erector launchers (TELs) were shown at the parade, held on 21 September to celebrate 25 years of independence, together with a pair of 9T250 transporter and loader vehicles. This tends to indicate that Armenia, de facto, became the first export customer of the advanced system.
