ADEX 2013: Samsung Techwin reveals details about Evo-105
Samsung Techwin has displayed the finalised version of its EVO-105 wheeled self-propelled howitzer at ADEX 2013 for the first time.
The Republic of Korea Army recently announced that it would purchase the system, which is a conversion solution that turns the venerable M101A1 towed howitzer into a self-propelled system by integrating it with a 5t truck.
The EVO-105 is a neat and cost-effective solution for the Korean Army, which has many M101A1s in its inventory and a large stockpile of 105mm ammunition. The army has ordered around 800 of the converted systems and is expected to take delivery of them
