Ukraine receives two Gyurza-M-class boats
The Ukrainian Navy recently commissioned its first two Project 58155 Gyurza-M-class armoured artillery boats.
The Ukrainian Navy Commander-in-Chief, VADM Igor Voronchenko, said during the commissioning ceremony that the boats will strengthen the operational capability for supporting littoral combat operations.
The boats, named U-174 Akkerman and U-75 Berdyanks, were launched in November 2015 and then spent one year to pass the full testing cycle, including the state acceptance tests. The boats were built at Leninskaya Kuznitsa shipyard in Ukraine’s capital Kiev. In April 2016, four more boats of the Gyurza-M class were laid down at the shipyard while
