Cost versus capability for future Canadian frigate
The future shape of the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) will be decided in 2018 based on bids submitted for the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) programme, the RfP deadline of which closes on 30 November.
The programme’s roots go back to at least 2008 and has been an uneasy process, with at least three extensions to the RfP deadline since it was first announced in October 2016.
