Thales shows off collaborative combat vision
The export variant of Thales’ Software Defined Radio (SDR), Synaps, has been demonstrated live for the first time to potential customers from 20 nations.
The Synaps radio family includes five radio models all designed to advance the notion of collaborative combat; facilitating communications that take place outside traditional chains of command.
Capable of simultaneously distributing voice, SMS, video, chat, geographic Blue Force Tracking and warnings, the system accords priority to different services to ensure the most essential data is transferred in the event of reduced service quality.
