Australia is looking to improve its presence in space with a focus on communications and creating a dedicated segment of its defence forces committed to the domain.
SRC's AN/TPQ-49 radar was deployed by the Canadian armed forces to provide air surveillance for the 2018 G7 Summit in Charlevoix, Quebec, the company announced on 31 January.
The AN/TPQ-49 with LSTAR air surveillance software provides 360°, 3D electronic scanning capabilities to detect and track airborne targets such as UAS, fixed and rotary wing aircraft, ultralights, paragliders and hang gliders.
