Singapore Airshow 2018: Taiwan produces Rockwell Collins radios

Rockwell Collins has achieved a sale of its next-generation AR-1500 networked communications airborne radio, with Taiwan revealed as the equipment’s maiden customer.

Using software-defined architecture, the AR-1500 is part of the company’s TruNet family of radios. It offers secure transfer of data, voice and imagery between ground and airborne elements.

Troy Brunk, vice president and general manager of Communication, Navigation and Electronic Warfare Solutions for Rockwell Collins, noted: ‘The AR-1500 builds upon our proven airborne communications technology and brings the critical level of security that our customers rely on to achieve their missions.’
