Sagem delivers Sterna PTLS to French, US forces

Sagem has delivered its Sterna Precision Target Locating System (PTLS) to the French Army and the US Army following the launch of production for the system in October 2012.

Philippe Le Sueur, vice president sales and marketing, Portable Optronics Department, Sagem, told Shephard that French and US forces have each ordered tens of the Sterna unit, and deliveries for the US Army have already been completed.

Le Sueur said that the French Army will use Sterna with the Jim LR long-range multifunction cooled infrared binoculars and Vector rangefinder binoculars, but was unable to comment on which target observation and acquisition
