RUAG Military Aviation and ELETTRONICA agreed for distribution of missim
On July, 20th 2010, at the occasion of this year's Farnborough Airshow, RUAG Military Aviation (Switzerland) and ELETTRONICA GmbH (Germany) signed a contract for regional distribution of RUAG electronic warfare test equipment missim.
The RUAG developed pre-mission tester missim (missile simulation) is a handy testing device that enables aircrews to check the functional capability of all onboard self-protection sensors. The missim electronic warfare test equipment is a three-in-one flight line tester that combines radar, laser and guided missile signatures for testing most self protection systems in the market, meaning a supplier independent testing. It is compatible for air, ground and sea applications. It can be used flexibly at a range of up to 20m, the signal strength being automatically adjusted to the range. Thus missim can be used to reassure crews that their fully functioning self-protection system is ready to respond to threats.
"ELETTRONICA GmbH enhanced and strengthened today its EW test & simulation portfolio to the level that we can provide the full range of state-of-the-art electronic warfare test and simulation equipment to the customer. Missim is an innovative product that combines multiple test procedures into one solution. It is oblivious that this approach leads to relevant
cost reductions in context of reduced number of different equipment and its dedicated equipment/service support - not to mention the reduction of complexity for user," said Gerhard Henselmann, Managing Director of ELETTRONICA GmbH. ELETTRONICA GmbH, will distribute missim in their relevant sales area in Europe.
