LIMA 2019: Malaysia installing local CMS on frigate

The upgrade of the combat management system (CMS) on KD Jebat, one of two Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) Lekiu-class frigates, is proceeding, and the project is due for completion in August 2019.

The firm in charge of the planned 16-month upgrade is T7 Global, a Malaysian concern traditionally focused on the oil/gas, construction and engineering sectors. The marine division of T7, called Marine Crest Technology, is installing its Vibrant 1 CMS aboard the frigate to replace the original NAUTIS 2 CMS.
