Indra to supply Lanza 3D radar to Thailand
Indra has received a contract to deliver its Lanza 3D Long-Range Radar to the Royal Thai Air Force, the company announced on 11 September.
The contract also includes the delivery of other associated equipment including Indra’s AirDef command and control system. The company will also provide a comprehensive logistic package including spares and training for operation and maintenance personnel.
Lanza is a family of 3D radar systems, which are based on a fully modular and scalable architecture, both in hardware equipment and software packages/capabilities. All systems of this radar family are tri-dimensional, solid state, operate in L band, apply pencil beam exploration (electronic control in elevation of radiation beams), with distributed architecture, are redundant in critical elements, allowing for soft-fail degradation in the case of certain items failure.
