Harris Corporation wins $77m IT services contract by Army Materiel Command
Harris Corporation, an international communications and information technology company, has been awarded a $77 million contract by the National Capital Region Contracting Center to provide IT infrastructure for the newly relocated US Army Materiel Command (AMC) Headquarters building at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. "This award further extends our company's growing reputation in the marketplace for delivering complex, mission-critical systems integration solutions," said Mike Deloney, vice president and general manager of Department of Defense Programs, Harris IT Services. "We are proud to continue our support to the Army operational commands through this headquarters relocation."

This contract was awarded under the nine-year, $20 billion Information Technology Enterprise Solutions- 2 Services (ITES-2S) contract vehicle, which is the preferred method of contracting for services and supplies for the Army.
The Harris team includes subcontractors General Dynamics IT (GDIT), AVS (Audio Visual Systems Inc.), ASD (Advanced Systems Development Inc.), By Light Professional IT Services (ByLight), Microtech, IBM, and nLogic.
