Gripen radar upgrade on offer

Saab is marketing an upgraded version of the Gripen C/D's PS-05/A mechanically scanned radar following successful tests in 2016. 

The enhancements, first announced in 2015 as a Mk4 upgrade to the PS-05/A, are being offered as a bridging option for customers looking to enhance capability ahead of availability of an electronically scanned system. Tests have demonstrated significant increases to the sensor's effectiveness, according to company experimental test pilot Mikael Olsson.
