Eurosatory 2012: IAI Taman launches Peripheral Situational Awareness System (O-PAS)

IAI Tamam has launched the Optical Peripheral Situational Awareness System (O-PAS) at the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris.

The O-PAS is an automatic detection, classification and tracking system for the identification of potential pre-determined targets, be it land, marine or human threats,  and can be installed on towers, surveillance vehicles or maritime platforms, according to the company.

It enables rapid coverage of wide land or marine areas, and controls the operation of EO sensors while analysing the live video streams of the surveyed area, and presents the potential threats on a panoramic display.
