SOFIC 2012: SOC commander looks to effective technology
The commander of US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has said that he is not interested in the ‘bureaucracy’ of procurement and only cares for the effectiveness of the technology.
‘We are in an awkward situation a lot of the time,’ ADM William McRaven explained to the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference in Florida on 22 May. ‘When you see what industry is doing with communications technology how can you not follow suit? I need information, and I need it in a mobile fashion.
