Singapore begins inducting fleet of new MAN TGM trucks
Singapore is replacing older truck types and supplementing its existing fleet of MAN 16.284 LAERC 5-ton 4x4 trucks (pictured) with new platforms from German truck-maker MAN.
Shephard understands Singapore awarded a contract to Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV), a joint company resulting from a 2011 merger of Rheinmetall and MAN, in 2013. The contract is for a militarised variant of the MAN TGM 18.280 twin-axle truck, which should be well suited to Singapore’s urban terrain.
