Serco wins US defence cost analysis contract
Serco has been awarded a Price Fighters contract to continue providing cost analysis services to the US Navy, Air Force, Army and Department of Defense (DoD), the company announced on 24 April.
The single-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a $20 million ceiling value, one-year base period and three one-year options with a six-month option period. It will see Serco provide cost, price and engineering analyses to the navy.
Serco will continue its analysis services supporting the US armed forces in negotiating lower prices on weapons systems and parts.
Dan Allen, chairman and CEO, Serco, said: ‘With today’s military being asked to do more-with-less, Serco helped pioneer this innovative programme to help the armed forces acquire the best possible defence capabilities while minimising cost and waste.
‘As a part of the Price Fighters programme, Serco will continue to provide contracting officers with the tools and support to make sure that taxpayers are getting full value for their money.’
The Price Fighters programme was established to support federal government acquisition officials in their procurement decisions. Serco has been providing acquisition support on various DoD weapons systems for 20 years.
