IAI shines more light on Barak ER interceptor test

The advanced Barak ER interceptor involved in recent tests was the first series-production missile, manufacturer Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) announced on 19 April.
During a media briefing attended by Shephard, IAI CEO Boaz Levy did not identify the customer. In the past, almost all Israeli-developed weapon systems were first used by the IDF.
IAI expects Barak ER (one element of the Barak MX integrated air and missile defence system) to slot into the existing Israeli multi-layered missile defence infrastructure, which already includes Iron Dome, David's Sling, Arrow-2 and Arrow-3.
