EDCA signals deeper US ties with Poland
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo (left of picture) and Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak signed an Enhanced Defence Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) on 15 August, during a special ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw.
The date was significant for Poland as it marked the 100th anniversary of victory over Bolshevik Russia in the Battle of Warsaw.
