Opinion: How did the UK fare in 2018?

As the end of 2018 approaches, the UK appears to be in a strategically ambiguous position at best. The ongoing debate over Brexit and how it could be implemented has dominated much of the media coverage over the last year, but look beyond this and it is clear that 2018 has been a year that has posed many wider foreign and security policy challenges for the UK. How though has it fared in dealing with these issues?
