FIDAE 2016: RAF eyes role in LATAM exercises
Despite the Royal Air Force’s A400M Atlas missing this year’s FIDAE airshow due to operational commitments, the service’s deputy commander of operations still sees a vital role for the UK to play in the region, particularly when it comes to taking part in regional exercises.
Speaking to journalists at FIDAE in Chile, Air Marshal Greg Bagwell, the RAF's deputy commander of operations, said that it was currently difficult to bring assets to the show because of operational tempo in regions such as the Middle East, and the loss of capacity that would entail.
