AEEI becomes Saab Grintek Defence partner
Under a newly signed agreement, African Equity Empowerment Investments (AEEI) has become a Saab Grintek Defence partner, as announced by Saab on 19 May.
AEEI previously held a 5% investment in the holding company Saab SA, and has now strengthened its partnership in the company with the acquisition of just over 25% of the operational company Saab Grintek Defence.
Leif Karlsson, acting CEO, Saab Grintek defence, said: 'We are proud to have AEEI as a strategic partner and we see this agreement as further strengthening our commitment to the industrial growth and prosperity of South Africa, at the same time supporting our endeavours to supply security solutions in Africa.'
Saab Grintek Defence offers security and support solutions, training systems, avionics, electronic warfare systems, sensor technology and command and control solutions to South Africa and the larger African and international markets.
