Germany to send WS-61 Westland Sea King helicopters to Ukraine
Germany has committed to sending Ukraine six of its 21 retiring WS-61 Westland Sea King multirole, amphibious helicopters.
The Turkish Army has formally taken delivery of its first nine T-129A attack helicopters, as Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) completes the early-delivery (EDH) phase of the aircraft programme.
In a written statement, the Undersecretariat of the Defense Industry (SSM) confirmed the first nine basic configuration, EDH T-129As had been ‘included in the inventory’ of the Turkish Armed Forces on 22 April.
While the SSM is touting a ‘symbolic initial delivery’ of all nine helicopters, four of the nine EDH model T-129As are understood to have been handed over to the army in 2013.
