Thales has launched a new cockpit - the Avionics 2020 – that includes some traits that military operators may need in the future.
Launched at the Paris Air Show, the cockpit is a design based around what the company thinks pilots will require in 2020. The current prototype it is working on is based on the A350 airliner cockpit that it is also developing.
‘We are offering a cockpit shape that can be applied to the military or rotary world,’ Richard Perrot, marketing director of the avionics division of Thales, explained to a pre-Paris Air Show media briefing in Bordeaux
