MSPO 2019: Leonardo puts W-3 Sokól upgrade offer on the table

PZL Swidnik, under parent company Leonardo and in collaboration with the Polish Armaments Group has proposed a W-3 Sokół upgrade to the country’s MoD - as part of a modernisation plan for the aircraft.

An identical avionics suite to the 4.5t AW169 is being offered, including a glass cockpit, four-axis autopilot, synthetic vision system, with new rotor blades, Full Authority Digital Engine Controls and a 200kg MTOW increase also part of potential future improvements.
