Lord eyes European expansion

Lord Corporation is planning a major expansion into Europe as it looks to offset declining US military budgets and achieve a goal of doubling revenues by 2022.

The company, which provides vibration, noise and motion control technology for rotary and fixed wing aircraft, told reporters in London on 28 May it intends to pursue European acquisitions in the ‘low to mid-cap size bracket’ to widen its product offerings.

The acquisition strategy and renewed focus on Europe follows Lord’s purchase of New York-based Stellar Technology earlier this year and Vermont-based MicroStrain in 2012.
