L3 MAS to sustain Canadian Chinooks
L3 MAS has been awarded a five-year contract option to continue providing support for the Canadian Department of National Defence’s CH-147F Chinook helicopter fleet, the company announced on 17 April.
Awarded by Boeing, the exercised option will see L3 MAS provide support and test equipment in-service support services, logistics support analysis and electronic publication management services.
The CH-147F Chinook is an advanced, multi-mission, medium- to heavy-lift helicopter. It provides logistical and mobility support to the Canadian Army and Special Operations Forces. It is used to transport equipment and personnel as well as to support other government departments, law enforcement agencies and civil authorities.
