Indian Army lodges Dhruv order

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is in receipt of an order for 41 further Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH), primarily for the Indian Army, according to an announcement by the state-owned entity on 4 September.

The deal is worth INR61 billion ($951 million) and will see 40 Dhruvs delivered to the army and one to the Indian Navy (IN) within a period of five years.

Among the army order is 18 Dhruv-WSI (Weapons System Integrated) armed variants (pictured above), also known as the Dhruv Mk IV Rudra.
