Eurosatory 2010: Upgrade package offered for Gazelle

French company Aerotec Group is offering a complete upgrade of the Gazelle light reconnaissance and attack helicopter, including new mission and sensor systems and armament package.

In the first showing at a major defence exhibition, Aerotec is displaying the upgrade package at Eurosatory in Paris on a Gazelle decked out in desert colours.

The upgrade package includes blade replacement, a lightweight armoured kit, anti-dust filter, new FLIR and mission displays, self-protection suite and a range of weaponry.

Aerotec modernisation programme department director Christian Olivaux said the company was marketing the package to existing Gazelle operators that were looking to increase
