Germany to send WS-61 Westland Sea King helicopters to Ukraine
Germany has committed to sending Ukraine six of its 21 retiring WS-61 Westland Sea King multirole, amphibious helicopters.
Raytheon will move the Talon laser guided rocket into production in the UAE under a partnering agreement with Tawazun announced at the Dubai Air Show.
The General Headquarters (GHQ) of the UAE Armed Forces has awarded an initial contract to Tawazun for the procurement, delivery and integration of Talon as well as training and support.
Tawazun will now enter into negotiations with the GHQ to determine production numbers and manufacturing details.
While Raytheon was partnered with Emirates Advanced Investments for the development phase of the programme, Tawazun is regarded as ‘more suitable’ to move the weapon into production.
