Germany to send WS-61 Westland Sea King helicopters to Ukraine
Germany has committed to sending Ukraine six of its 21 retiring WS-61 Westland Sea King multirole, amphibious helicopters.
Cobham is set to launch its new helicopter academy by the end of the year, and already has an undisclosed launch customer.
Based at Newquay International Airport, the facility will use its team of ex-military instructors to train helicopter aircrews from all over the world. They will teach both military and civilian personnel how to fly helicopters, as well as in SAR capabilities, tactical operations and commercial services.
