Five H145M light utility helicopters arrived at the Royal Thai Navy’s (RTN) U-Tapao air base on 8 September. They will enter service in November to supplement and eventually replace six Bell 212 helicopters that have been in service since 1978.
Apart from transportation tasks, the H145Ms will also be used in the future as light attack platforms to support Thai marines and riverine operations.
